My name is Eric Graetz, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
For nearly twenty years, Horseshoe Bend has been my home. During that time, I have built businesses, worked as an entrepreneur, inventor, designer, machinist, and tool and die maker. My career has been centered around solving problems, creating solutions, managing projects, and making things work efficiently. Those same skills are what I believe Horseshoe Bend needs today.
I am not a career politician. I am a working man who understands budgets, understands accountability, and understands that success comes from hard work, planning, and treating people fairly.
Over the decades, Horseshoe Bend has faced many of the same challenges repeatedly. We have seen declining growth, stagnant development, political infighting, division within our community, and leadership that too often focuses on maintaining the status quo rather than building for the future.
For far too long, the conversation has centered on what can be taken from the people instead of what can be done for the people.
Our citizens deserve better.
The residents of Horseshoe Bend deserve leadership that views them as partners rather than obstacles. They deserve a city government that works to improve their quality of life, protect their investments, and create opportunities for future generations.
It is time to stop governing through conflict and division.
It is time to stop using city government as a tool for settling scores.
It is time to return to the basic principle that public service means serving the public.
As Mayor, I will focus on restoring trust in local government through transparency, accountability, and open communication. Every taxpayer deserves to know how their money is being spent and why decisions are being made.
I believe Horseshoe Bend’s greatest opportunities lie ahead of us. We must begin thinking differently about economic development and revenue generation. The same ideas that have been recycled for decades are no longer enough.
We need leadership willing to pursue new opportunities that attract investment, encourage responsible development, support local businesses, and bring new residents to our community.
We must work to grow our tax base rather than continually placing greater burdens on the people who already live here.
We must create an environment where families want to move here, retirees want to invest here, entrepreneurs want to start businesses here, and property owners see their investments increase in value.
Horseshoe Bend is blessed with incredible natural beauty, lakes, golf courses, recreational opportunities, and hardworking citizens. Yet our greatest asset is our people. When government begins putting citizens first, remarkable things can happen.
I envision a city where economic growth and responsible government work together. A city where public officials listen more than they lecture. A city where solutions matter more than politics.
Most importantly, I envision a Horseshoe Bend where every citizen is treated with respect regardless of their background, income level, political affiliation, or viewpoint.
This election is about more than choosing a mayor. It is about choosing the direction of our city for years to come.
We can continue down the same path, or we can choose a new vision built on accountability, transparency, growth, and service.
I believe Horseshoe Bend’s best days are ahead of us.
I am asking for your support, your ideas, and your vote as we work together to build a stronger future for our community.
May God bless Horseshoe Bend, and may God bless the people who call it home.
